- Chris Shannon is a technologist with broad experiences and interests ranging from fuel cells, alternative energy to deep sea ocean exploration. Formerly, Chris was responsible for IT for atip (Asia Technology Information Program.) His purpose in forming ATR is to provide and promote a window in Asian scientific and technological advances, programs, and investment opportunities.
Previously Chris was commissioned by JETRO to conduct a survey of USA fuel cell companies and compile reports on alternative energy opportunities and advancements.
Chris has provided IT services to Fortune 100 companies and Asian investment banks and has more than 20 years experience in IT and product development. He is building AsiaTechReport to be the go-to source for news, reports, and information about cutting edge technology and scientific advancement in Asia.
- Dr. Sean Toczko has a background in biology with an interest in technology and the impact and influence it has on society. He has many years of experience as a professional science writer and as an editor for medical societies and technological groups in Japan, where he has been living and working for over 10 years.
A former editor for atip (Asia Technology Information Program), his interests have since branched into computer technology, primarily focused on server platforms and related systems and networking administration.
Having received his doctorate from Tokyo University he now works as a staff scientist for the Center for Deep Earth Exploration (CDEX), at the Japan Agency for Marine-Earth Science and Technology (JAMSTEC). In his spare time, he spends many hours exploring the stores and resellers of electronic components and accessories in Akihabara, Tokyo.
- Hugh Ashton's background is in the evaluation and reporting of technology as it applies to business. He has provided regular reports on technical developments in Japan, where he has lived for over 20 years, for a number of publications, with an emphasis on the IT and sustainable energy fields. His services have also been used by a number of major enterprises operating in Japan in the manufacturing and financial services fields, where he has provided consultancy services, and documented products and procedures.
Hugh has also researched and written on the Japanese financial industry, and is the author of "Retail Finance in Japan" and "Wealth Management in Japan", published by VRL KnowledgeBank (Financial News Publishing) of London.
