Wireless Power Breakthrough

Contactless Power researchers at Showa Aircraft Industry Co Ltd has apparently achieved a breakthrough with respect to production of power at a distance. As shown here at the AT international Trade Show in Japan. Normally problems exist with distance power with heat being generated in metal objects placed inside the field. Not so in this case. They are achieving a transmission efficiency of 90% or more between their coils, at distances of ~60cm. Showa intends to produce an application that will power delivery trucks' air conditioning when parked at convenience stores, etc.
