Fuel Cell Bikes Being Supplied to 50,000 India Villages


EKOVEHICLES of Bangalore India is bringing renewable, green energy to thousands of villages in India. This innovative technology will use a combination of clean solar and wind power, fuel cells and batteries to replace the very polluting diesel generators that currently provide electricity for the more than 50,000 Indian villages located 200 miles or more off the grid.

Plug Power To Provide 200 FC Systems To Indian Wireless Concern

New York based Plug Power will be providing 200 GenSys Fuel Cell systems to Indian Wireless Provider Tata Teleservices Ltd. A major telecom operator in India. All units will be shipped by March 2010. Plug has been told that Tata expects to add 50,000 telecom towers in the next 5 years.


IdaTech Fuel Cell Company Gains Access to Indian Market

IdaTech PLC has received approval from the Indian Government, in that its ElectraGen Hydrogen Fuel Cell Generator has passed testing and can now be legally deployed in India. Initially IdaTech's pure hydrogen generators will be placed, until early 2010 when their natural gas fuel cell systems will be installed.

India's Bet On Solar


India has announced that its solar power goals are going
be more than quadruple the worldwide solar installations last year.

India plans on generating 20 gigawatts of power by 2020 and 200 gigawatts by 2050. Last years installed base of solar globally was 6 gigawatts. The best solar year ever globally. India is well suited to Solar usage because it scales well given the terrain and environment.
